Hike, Bike & Ride

Caesar Creek State Park offers an extensive trail network for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Trails wind through diverse terrain — from dense hardwood forests and open meadows to steep ravines and lakeshore paths. Whether you're out for a short nature walk or a full-day trek, there's a route for every skill level.

NCACC volunteers actively support trail maintenance throughout the park, helping keep paths safe and accessible year-round.

Perimeter Loop Trail

The Caesar Creek Perimeter Loop Trail was recognized as "Best in Ohio" in a December 2020 article — a testament to its scenic variety and well-maintained route. This trail circles the lake and offers hikers and backpackers a challenging, rewarding experience through some of the park's most beautiful landscapes.

50 Springs Loop & Connector Trail

Parts of the 50 Springs Loop and Connector Trail were temporarily closed in 2021 for water-crossing repairs. Before heading out, check current trail conditions with the Park Office or reach out to the NCACC trail team.

Trail Maintenance by NCACC Volunteers

NCACC volunteers dedicate countless hours to keeping Caesar Creek's trails in top condition. From clearing fallen branches and repairing erosion damage to maintaining trail markers and water crossings, their work ensures every visitor enjoys a safe, well-kept path.

Trail Types

Something for Everyone

🥾 Hiking Trails

Footpaths ranging from short interpretive loops near the Nature Center to the full Perimeter Loop Trail. Enjoy lake views, forest canopy, and seasonal wildflower displays.

🚵 Mountain Biking

Designated bike trails offer challenging terrain through wooded hills and along ridgelines. Riders should yield to hikers and horses, and stay on marked routes.

🐴 Horse Trails

Equestrian trails and a dedicated Horse Camp make Caesar Creek a popular destination for riders. Please use designated horse trails and respect trail-sharing etiquette.
